Alavis

ALAVIS™ Intensive joint nourishment

Intensive joint nourishment. Glucosamine Sulphate and Chondroitin Sulphate at high concentrations. For proper functioning of articular cartilage and improvement of joint mobility.

ALAVIS™ contains the substances Glucosamine sulphate and Chondroitin sulphate, which are substances belonging to the group of so-called glycosaminglycans (GAG). These substances form a natural part of articular cartilage and articular synovial fluid. Loss of such substances will show in worse joint function and acceleration of arthritic changes development. These substances from the ALAVIS™ Joint nourishment preparation easily absorb and build in the damaged cartilage. Sufficient supply of these substances ensures long-term proper cartilage function and its strength, flexibility and resistance. The effective mechanism of these substances is common and consists in chondroprotective effect. Active substances are present in the required quantity and, in addition, in concentrated form

Glucosamine plays an important role in cartilage metabolism. It stimulates the cartilage cells (chondrocytes) to synthesis of proteoglycans (basic building components of cartilage) and is the main substrate for their formation. Glucosamine is actively received by the cartilage. Administration of glucosamine slows down the development of already occurred degenerative cartilage changes.

Chondroitin sulfphate

Chondroitin sulphate is an important component of articular cartilage. It binds a large quantity of water, thereby hydrating the cartilage, supporting the formation of proteoglycans and reducing collagenolytic activities. Administration of chondroitin slows the destructive changes in cartilage, relieves joint pain, improves mobility and reduces the course of joint inflammation.
